What is the difference between SEO and digital marketing?
SEO is a subset or one of the verticals of digital marketing and is focused on improving the visibility of a website in search engine results. This is done by optimizing the website’s content and structure, as well as building links from other websites to your own.
Digital marketing, on the other hand, is a broader term that encompasses a variety of online marketing activities like content marketing, email marketing, pay-per-click [PPC] advertising, SEO, affiliate marketing, influencer marketing, and social media marketing.
It is more focused on creating an online presence that will engage customers, build relationships, and drive leads and sales.
